Trujillo and Chiclayo are the heart of our northern Peru tours, two coastal cities layered with warrior kings, vast mud-brick cities, and pyramids rising from the dry forest and the desert. Follow the trail of the Moche civilization through Chan Chan, Tucume, and the royal tombs of Sipan. This is a side of the coast most travelers drive straight past, and one of the most rewarding.
